What We Do
Our mission and primary responsibility is to provide direct
services to persons experiencing domestic violence.
We are committed to raise awareness about domestic abuse and
relationship violence to groups in schools, parishes, and the
communities in the Vancouver Archdiocese through a process of
education appropriate for each group. Volunteer couples also take
part as an awareness component of the Archdiocesan Marriage
Preparation programs.
Our volunteers, after completing a 10 week training program offered
twice a year:
maintain an abuse helpline
provide individual support
offer safe housing when available
provide access to spiritual, legal, financial and psychological
resources
educate people about domestic abuse and relationship violence
give presentations at the Archdiocesan Marriage Preparation course
